Bean Feed

The Bean Feed is one of the major activities of the club. It is the usual hamfest featuring tailgating and a feed of beans near noon. The next one will be held when the pandenic moderates.

It is usually held in may. but the virus is foecing a major overhaul of the event.

The activities are much the same each year. The tentative schedule is below.

Coffee and Doughnuts – Chile bean plate with drink for $5.00

Commercial Radio Vendors are scheduled


The MVRC Clubhouse is located at the intersection of Wilt and Jefferson in Hacienda Heights. This is east of Las Cruces. Take the Porter exit on US 70. It is about 5 miles from the I 25 interchange, near the firehouse.  Drive south. Turn left toward the mountains at Jefferson. Drive until you come to Wilt. The club house is under the beams. Parking is along the street and on the club grounds. Tailgating is in the club parking lot.

PL is turned on as needed. You will need a sub audible tone (100.0 Hz) in order to access the 146.04/146.64 repeater

7:00 AM Set up and selling (in the parking lot)

About 10AM to noon food is served (in the dining room)
